Notice What?
At some point in your life with your children, you will notice they notice YOU! They want to be like you, talk like you, walk like you, sing like you, behave like you.
When you notice this timing of your child’s development, it might be time to take notice of yourSELF.
How do you talk?
How do you walk?
How do you sing?
What is your behavior in all circumstances…sad, happy, excited, angry, frustrated, disappointed…
Being the leader in your home is also recognizing your behaviors and the little eyes that watch and learn.
Are you loud? Are your children loud?
Are you reflective? Are your children reflective?
How do you respond when you make a mistake - break a glass? How do you want your children to respond when they break something?
I found a little gem on FB the other day - from CREATE:
“Little things your children notice”
How often you’re on your phone
How you handle big emotions
How you treat others
How you talk about yourSELF
How you deal with life’s setbacks
How you react when you mess up
If you follow your own advice
How you speak about your body
How often you apologize
If you pay attention when they say: “Look at this!”
Notice what they notice! Be ready to change your behavior when you see a behavior you do not really appreciate in your child.
