Too Much Laughter
Is a comment you will NEVER hear me say! Laughter is music to my ears, especially when I hear my children laughing. For me, their laughter brings a feeling of great satisfaction, and great affection.
This has been a very uplifting and emotional weekend as my third child walks across a college stage to receive her Bachelor of Science degree. The trials and tribulations in getting to this day have been overwhelming at times. Yet, she endured, she made it; we all did. Three down, two to go!
I feel very fortunate to be able to see all my adult children together for family events. I hear the laughing and chiding with each other, the hugging and comforting of happy tears; the sounds and sights make me realize the depth of love these siblings have for each other.
They have learned how to fight, argue, debate, agree to disagree, play, and love each other. They have hurt each other, forgiven each other and continue to desire TIME together. We are always looking forward to the next event and make plans to be together even with all the barriers of TIME and space in our lives. We look forward to time to laugh together.
Over the years, I have learned that laughter truly is the best medicine towards living a less stressful life. I smile when I think of how my children have learned to laugh with each other; laugh at themselves, and receive the benefits of alleviating stress.
“Stress relief from laughter? It's no joke…when it comes to relieving stress, more giggles and guffaws are just what the doctor ordered.”

Somehow we need to laugh on a daily basis. We need to wake up with memories that bring a smile to our face. As we go to bed, a fond memory from the day may help us sleep better. Intentionally seeking the bliss in our lives and choosing laughter is good for us.
